Digital Scholarship Summer Fellowship Info Session Online

Digital Scholarship Summer Fellowship Information Session

Join our information session to learn about the Digital Scholarship Summer Fellowship! Librarians and past fellows will be available to talk about the fellowship and their experiences. RSVP required.

What is the Digital Scholarship Summer Fellowship?

The Digital Scholarship Summer Fellowship (DSSF) is a paid summer program for Gettysburg College students. Fellows learn Digital Humanities tools and methods during the summer and apply them to a public-facing, academic, digital project. Applicants propose a research question or topic to explore. The question or topic can be inspired by coursework, a personal passion, items from Musselman Library’s Special Collections, or digital collections that exist elsewhere. The fellowship runs for 8 weeks (June 7 – July 30, 2021).

What does the fellowship pay?

The fellowship pays a $3,500 stipend, paid in biweekly installments, with an additional stipend for housing.

Who can apply for the fellowship?

Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors from any major or discipline may apply. We have openings for multiple fellows. Applicants should be interested in creating a research project and learning Digital Humanities tools and methods, have good communication and time management skills, and have the ability to work independently and in groups.
